only use one piece of the 3 piece spoiler?
I am fixing up an 86 Camaro Berlinetta (put a v8 in it etc) but am having issues with putting a spoiler on it. Someone repaired the drivers side quarter panel by (i think) just welding another on top of it and not cutting the original out. It looks fine but shifts it just enough for the spoiler pieces to not fit/line up correctly at ALL, it sits about a 1/4 inch too high so its not flush. My options as I see it are:
1 Take the whole rear fender off and rework it/reweld it- not happening, not an option.
2 Modify the end cap to fit correctly -A decent amount of glass work and slotting the spoiler mounting holes, spoiler on hatch part would have to be at an angle to match up with both sides decently. Still not happy with this solution and potential to mess up pieces.
3 Simply leave off the side pieces and weld the holes shut- easiest, but not sure if this would look good.
Does anyone have any pictures of just the center piece installed?
