Air Bag light, can fuse be pulled

My Inflatable rest. light comes on sometimes. Can I just pull the fuse and leave everything else alone, to keep it from going off, and also to keep the light from comming on? Will this work or do I have to disconnect it?

Why is you light going on? Did you replace your steering wheel?

The light will stay on even though you take out the fuse. You must disconnect the SIR circuit. It should be located under the dash somewhere. On my 1990 IROC-Z, it's right behind the panel and the circuit is yellow.

Good Luck.

I hav'nt played with it or changed wheels, I'm guessing its gone bad. Thelight comes on occasionaly and I did'nt want it goin off or looking at the warning light. I was hoping I could just pull the fuse. Thanks for the info I guess I'll cut the wire, might be easier going to the one in the wheel itself though I'd hate to cut the wrong wire. Then I can pull the bag.
Thanks

Rob, don't cut the wire! I just removed my air bag and had the light coming on everytime. I just removed my dash and took out the INFL light bulb. Took about 5 min, and worked great.

Any questions about this, E-mail me.

PS This will work even if you still have your airbag in.

If I pull the fuse will the air bag be disabled and can still be left in without going off. Then just pull the bulb and be done with it? It figures the bulb that you dont wont to work is the one that will never burn out on ya. I appreciate the info on this. Thanks to all.
