86 iroc z28 rusted under-body and two holes on drivers side.
Hi,
You guys have answered every single question I have asked and I am going to keep posting questions on here untill my car is brought back to it's glory days.
The underbody of my car is pretty crisp and have two small holes on the driver side where you can see the carpet, what will all need to be done and what will it cost for the whole underbody to be completely re-done or do I even have to get the whole thing replaced?
Ext-body is in perfect shape, no surface rust, other than the drivers side wheel well, has a little bubbling.
Thank all of you so much, I trust everyone of ya, you guys have been right on every question I have asked.

Floor pans. You can get them full or partial, left or right side. I know Hawks and Classic Industries carry them. They can get a little expensive once you factor in freight shipping.
Just involves pulling the carpet and seats out, cutting out the bad ones, and welding in the new ones. Depending on the size of the rust patches you may be able to get by with some patchwork. Then put everything back together. If you have your carpet out already you can look into laying down some sound-deadening material and/or new carpet.
Once you're done with that, feel free to come do mine. :-)

You need to find out where the water came from that rusted the floor pans.
If it was just spray from the road, its one thing. If your firewall is rusted behind the cowl, its a whole 'nuther thing.

Thank you for your reply buddy, that was very helpful.I didn't think it's really that big of a deal cause it's not, I will just take her up to the body shop and have them do it.

Nope, firewall is fine...the moron before me I think drove this poor car in the winter where the salt got to it, rain doesn't cause rust, salt does.
Thanks for your reply bud
