Black Box under Driver Seat?

I would like to comfirm that the black box under the driver seat has to do with the power of the seat in my 87 GTA? Or is it something else?
Thanks

YES YES YES, the little black box under your seeat is a distribution block for your pnumatic lumbar and side supports. It is really kind of neet how it works, took mine apart.

anyway. you need it if you want those options.

I know you did not ask this but anyway... If you want to install a 6 way power seat, I had to move and re-drill new holes for the screws about a 1/2 inch over to accomidate the power seat motor.

Its there so that in the event of a crash, they can re-create the scenario and find out what happened. Its very durable, so it will survive any type of crash. They tend to use them in planes now adays, I guesse the guy that owned the car before you wanted to do a MOD no one else would ever think of!

No, seriously..... It is for the Power Seats, I had one in my Pontiac Parisienne Though there wasn't much left of the box. Its got everything that has to do with it under there. So yeah, it supposed to be there. OkFoz seems to know far more than I do about the subject, but yes, indeed it is.
