RearxBrakes

Hello Guys

At the age of sixty I'm building my first car on a budget.

I got given to me a Torsen rearend out of a 1998 Camaro WITHOUT brakes.

What I need is all the parts to add brakes, backing plates, calipers, rotors, and the emergency brakes.

Buget thinking what will work?
Someone said that a S10 or Jimmy rear brakes would work, is that true.

I have a 1988 Camaro that it is going into (stock motor).
Any help would be very helpful

Ken

Re: RearxBrakes

the easiest, and a good option at that, would be the factory 98-02 f-body rear disc brakes. They will bolt right on, and can be found usually for around 150bux complete with everything.

the trick is the parking brake cable itself, the 98-02 one will not work unless you swap the entire parking brake setup from the hande to the tunnel pull setup. Your other option is a set of custom cables that can be had from flynbye.com or from hawks. They are a bolt in replacement that works for thei application. they are about 100bux for the set though.
