Re: Back Caliper

Not much to tell... take em off, put em back on.

Main thing is, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES let the master cyl run dry!!! You will NEVER EVER get all the air out of the system if that happens on one of these cars, because of the angle the MC is at, until/unless you remove it and "bench bleed" it. Take the line off the old one LAST THING before it's completely separated from the car, and put the line back on the new one FIRST THING, ASAP.

Check the slide hardware, make sure everything is free to move, maybe even get some of that grease they have for those.

Is this the same car that "won't bleed"?

Re: Back Caliper

alright thanks. yea its the same one lol I went back and talked to the guy and he said the pin won't come off but if you broke it off they would bleed. I'm just going to replace the caliper (27 years old now) and the pads which probably are gone.

Re: Back Caliper

Change em both. Always do the same thing to both sides of a brake system at the same time.

While you're at it, get the "factory recall" kit for them, which for some reason they don't put in them when they "rebuild" them. That way they might work a little bit once in a while.
