Not really needed. You can either upgrade to a PBR 9bolt/10bolt rear end with the 11.75" brakes, or move to a 98+ F-body disc rear. Both will provide substantially more braking performance than the older non-PBR brakes. And they are direct bolt-ins if you already have disc brakes.

Sounds good but I already have C5 brakes. I found a company that makes the brackets. If anyone else needs them contact Scott @ bigbrakeupgrade.com. Great guy great communication!

Well the c5 conversion will get you a good functioning parking brake with its internal drum. Big difference compared to 11,75" pbr units. But sure as for brake power only the difference isnt gonna be all that great.
