Everybody knows by now about the inexpensive C5 (Corvette) brake conversion to our third gen, but if you're like me and want to keep it Pontiac, the 05-06 GTO offered the same brakes as the C5 Corvettes, except they say "GTO" and the mounting bracket is a little different.
I feel like one of the first people to do this conversion since in my 2 days of research I haven't found much of anything on the entire Internet, so here is what I've got so far:

Lukeskaff.com as well as bigbrakeupgrade.com offer some guides and help on how to do the C5 brake swap, but since the mounting bracket is different on the GTO brakes, it is not a complete guide for the swap I am trying to do.

The only mods that I believe need to be done are drilling new mounting holes in the stock third gen spindle, and cutting off a little bit of the stock spindle to make room for the big calipers. Also, something about keeping the third gen hub and fitting it into the new rotors, along with longer wheel studs.

I know this isn't an impossible conversion, so I figured you guys would want in on the fun. Any information or tips on completing this swap would be appreciated.

I looked at it with SSZ calipers, which are the same as the GTO brakes. The mounting for those calipers is too close to the spindle itself and the bolts don't thread into the caliper bracket, they go through the caliper bracket the opposite way into the spindle.

Unless the US market is vastly different to Australian (which i doubt), You will be better off just using C5/C6 Calipers.

The rotors of the GTO are too deep on the front to even consider. Hits tie rods and all sorts.

The corvette letters can be removed with a grinder, sanded smooth, and then spray painted over if that is the concern. I did this with my C5 brakes.
