Car: 83 z28 Engine: 305 for now Transmission: 5 speed | | right now it's just a stock 76 van rebuild, but i have a set of ported heads and a comp cams 282 cam for it. I know the stock 5 speed won't hold up so i have a 4 speed sag that held the power of a big block for a year without wear. So that will go in untill i can afford a aftermarket 5 sped for it. Unless anyone knmows where i can get a wc 5 speed and how i can build it to handle about a max of 400 horse(eventually) Any one see a white 84 Z with royal purple ground effects runnin around saskatoon? that where my old Z went. | | | |

Car: 1987 Trans Am GTA Engine: 350 TPI Transmission: 700R4 | Oh, well the tranny in there needed a rebuild, so it's coming out to get it and a rebuilt 700r4 going in with 2400 stall and transgo shift kit. I'm also putting on ported and polished corvette l98 heads, some hooker 2055 headers, and a holley stealth ram. I'm not sure about getting a cam yet, sure would like to but we'll see what kind of time i've got...After all this i'm gonna have to make some runs to SIR and see what i can do. |

Car: 1987 Trans Am GTA Engine: 350 TPI Transmission: 700R4 | Unfortunately no, i've never been so SIR yet with it, i had no time last year to do that, and i've been fixing little stuff with the car - had leakey valve guides, hence new heads. So that kinda sucks because i won't be able to see how much better it will be, but will still be fun. From these boards I have an idea what the stocker should run, so i'm not concerned. |

All of the race dates can be found at www.racesir.com .
I've had my brothers red 87 L98 GTA out at the track many times. The best it did stock (only a K&N and no cat) was 15.1@90mph.

Car: 85 Camaro IROC-Z Engine: Dual Snorkel 350 Carb Transmission: 700R4 | Just recently purchased an 85 Camaro IROC-Z, to be my Project Car.
I am from Saskatoon. Enjoyed the Show N Shine @ Canadian Tire Saturday.
The car came with a 305 that is fried, not sure what else is wrong with it.
Slowly working on putting a 350 from a 81 3/4 ton in it.
From what I have seen, this car has burnt out its engine atleast twice. How are you guys keeping your 3rd Gen. cool? |

| A Camaro owner once more I used to have a 1984 Camaro that had a custom airbrushed hood but it was totaled in a car accident in the winter of 2001.
I just recently traded a Fiero that I had a customed up for a 1986 Camaro Z28.
Just figured I would say "HI" |

That is an integral part of keeping that coolant temp down. How old is the rad? It could be plugged up, and not cooling properly. Any questions feel free to add me to MSN.

Car: 85 Camaro IROC-Z Engine: Dual Snorkel 350 Carb Transmission: 700R4 | The air dam was in place, but not at the right angle because of cracks. I have fixed that, and added a steel curve to the bottom to invite more air up to the rad. The rad was new, but got so hot that the tank separated from the core. Got that all fixed, too, and had to put a new heater core in as well. The water pump was new and the seven blade thermostatic fan should draw enough air to cool.
Just dropped a 350 in this week, hope to get it running this weekend. Will see if heating is still a problem. This car has a huge A/C rad infront of the regular rad. That may be why this car has heating problems. Not enough air getting to the regular rad.
Will keep you informed. |

Car: 85 Trans Am Engine: LB9 305 TPI Transmission: Auto | The A/C rad in front shouldn't hurt anything, the air still flows through. Have you put a good high flowing water pump on there? That could make a difference. And what thermostat is on there? Have you replaced that too?
If you need anything, give me a call, 249-3003 and I would be happy to help you out.

Car: 85 Camaro IROC-Z Engine: Dual Snorkel 350 Carb Transmission: 700R4 | I am just putting in a 350 from an 81 Chev 3/4 ton. The engine temp. was always normal when we ran the truck. If I have heating problems, I will call you about a high volume water pump. It has a 180 thermostat in it. What do you use? |
