| How can I tell you apart from another guy?? So I se we have a few Edmontonians here, but how can I tell driving down the road if your the guys I've been chatting with? What are you drivin? any custom paint or wheels or maybe a plate. Help a fellow 3rd genner out here....
This way when we pass each on the open roads,we know "hey that looks like RustyDawgs car" we can throw each other a wave. As opposed to being two ships in the night... |

Car: 86 Firebird Engine: 355 4 bbl Transmission: TKO 600 Axle/Gears: 3.73 L/S | No Custom Paint or Wheels Here! Smooth, I don't have a lot for identifiable features: semi-gloss (okay, it's dead) black paint. Wheels are Pontiac Rallye wheels painted black. The car is lowered. You might have better luck listening for it than seeing it.
I live in central Edmonton and in the summer I drive it to work in the west end. Look for me flying 'round the traffic circle on 107th & 142nd.
Sometimes I make it out to the old A&W in Beverly on the weekends, or perhaps the PetroCan on Ft. Road Thursday nights.
Anyone else? |

| I don't post much - but my car is one that you'd probably spot pretty easily.
I'll update in a couple weeks - I have a deal lined up to purchase a sweet, sweet GTA that's also pretty distinct. I'll post some pictures once I pick it up. |

Car: 1990 Iroc-z Engine: LB9 Transmission: T5 | My motor needs a rebuild and my parents told me i can't take it apart in their garage Also, after talking to a bunch of smart people on this board I've decided to save up and just swap out the 305 for something better. After I get a house of course, haha... |

One time when they went on vacation I bought an Eclipse with a blown engine and started disassembling it. They were a little surprised when they open the garage door to drive in and I'm standing there pulling an engine out. |

| I'm in a Carmine 87 IROC - used to park on 149th street all the time and have since moved. You'll notice me due to the GMPP official one piece bra I have on the car (from 1987). |

I am trying to get my 88 done so that I can get it out and drive it, It's gonna have new everything suspension wise and new paint and rims too.
Hopefully by mid august it will be out of the shop.
Only problem is that I got a new aftermarket hi rise spoiler from david t's ( to offset the ss hood) and I think it's too narrow, anyone got a Gm one kickin around they'd sell me? |

Car: 1982 Camaro Z28 Engine: 350 Transmission: 3spd auto | Anyone buy stuff from davidt's ( .:: DAVID T's AUTO CENTER::.) in edmonton?
I sent them an email asking for some prices and this is what they said.
Posi rear end from thirdgen - $800.00-$1200.00
Rebuilt t-5 transmission - $1500.00
Pair of grid tail lights - $450.00
Ground fx (91-92) - $1700.00
Whatever it is theyre smoking, they need to stop. All their cars they sell are so overpriced too. $5500 for a thirdgen with no motor.
So, where can I get used thirdgen parts for a decent price in Edmonton? |

Car: 88 camaro Engine: 355 Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi | David T's is the biggest rip off ever but he has the market cornered, he buys all the camaros and firebirds that are around, I think.
I got a set of grids off ebay for $80 including shipping
As for the GFX, I'm in the same boat couldn't find any so I had to settle for the old style ones I had on the car
My body guy has a friend who owns a wreckers here in edmonton that I got some parts off of, he's way more reasonable than David T's
I'll get his name and number for you if you want ( I don't have it as I dealt directly through the body shop ) He doesn't have the new style GFX though. |

I have an 87 TA for parts as well. PM me if you need some things ... I might have some of what your looking for. I am in Edmonton.

Car: 1982 Camaro Berlinetta Engine: LG4 5.0 V8 Transmission: TH200C 3-Speed Axle/Gears: 2.73 | I'm from Edmonton myself and I just joined the forum. Today I took possession of an '82 Berlinetta. Factory Jade Green exterior with green interior. She came with the LG4 and the 3 speed automatic. In all I spent $1500 CDN to acquire it after the previous owners invested a few grand into tuning up the motor and transmission. The car has 265K on it, but the motor still goes like a bat out of hell.
As for the price, it was better than what you can get into Edmonton, and it was delivered to me from Beaumont.
I'll probably want to dump the 14X7"'s next year and try to acquire some Z28 rims if they will work.

Seriously, I checked all around Edmonton and it was $2500-$3000 for some of the six-bangers. |

Car: 1982 Camaro Berlinetta Engine: LG4 5.0 V8 Transmission: TH200C 3-Speed Axle/Gears: 2.73 | I had some fun tonight. I decided to put the winter tires to the test and they were not bad. I threw the car into some test spins and I was able to compensate. As long as I keep the TH200C in first gear when I start off, its OK. I'll also have to gear down when slowing to a stop. Most of the vehicles I drove in the winter time were FWD, this is my second vehicle with RWD. |

Car: 1985 Firebird Engine: LB8 V6 MFI Axle/Gears: Stock | Hi All! My first post here.
Picked up my first Firebird (1985) last year.
Currently doing lots of small repairs.
Changing the headlights to Silverstars and replacing a bad wiring harness this weekend and replacing the hood/hatch shocks.
I'm getting tired of the broom handle the last owner had under the hood.
I'll be putting in new shocks (Sensatrack) n' springs all around, after Xmas.
I do 99% of my own work to save on costs.
I've been playing with the stock LB8 V6, trying to squeeze out that last ounce of horsepower. Still debating putting in a V8.
Merry Xmas everyone! |

Car: 1982 Camaro Berlinetta Engine: LG4 5.0 V8 Transmission: TH200C 3-Speed Axle/Gears: 2.73 | I'd hate to do it, but recently I have been pricing out a new Cobalt. I do like the Camaro, but the gas costs are killing me and it's digging me a bigger debt hole. |
