Owning a mustang is ok, as long as you really wish it was an F-body. Putting a Chevy engine into it would also be marginally acceptable.
I put the mufflers on the exhaust last night. There was no discernable difference in volume between the muffled and unmuffled exhaust. For the sake of my eardrums and the cleanliness of the carpet, I picked up a pair of 17733's this morning to try instead. The case is the same size and configuration as the 17219's, so I could just swap them back and forth if I felt like it.

I put some more run time on the engine tonight. Long enough to figure out I've got an oil leak from somewhere behind the balancer. :P

early april may work well for me Glen. This time of year gets pretty busy.
Umm, mustang. While I do respect them as being a V8 sports car. A bumper sticker saying I'd rather drive a "GM F-Body" would be be the right Idea. Instead of a GM engine which you'd never see unless you poped the hood.
Leaks certianly do suck Chris. Think you'd have to pull the engine again to fix it?

It's already done. No need to pull the engine to replace the front oil seal, just have to pull the balancer out.

Not with any more than my customary disdain for humanity. Now please excuse me while I polish my jackboots.

I asked before, but I'll try again... does anyone want my old exhaust? Single 3", stainless, loud bullet muffler. It has Flowtech headers on it, but those could easily be replaced.

I don't know, you only have a "0" on the iTrader points (though moderators can modify that to 1000 once they learn how). How to do you think I got all my posts

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
Has anyone noticed the new PNW Board?
AmorgetRS has invited us BC'ers to post there if we wish.
It would make it easier to have separate posts than this monster.
Anyone interested in moving over to the new PNW Board for future posts?

Thanks Glenn
I would invite all BC people to at least give the new Pacific Northwest Board a chance. Us Americans aren't all that bad, we do bathe once and awhile, and once awhile a "Eh" (though we may not know how to spell it) can slip out!

Are you refering to the Cascade Crew Forum? It's the only one I thought of for PNW thirdgens.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
The Cascade Crew forum as it was known is not longer. It has become that Pacific Northwest Forum, no more club association. Hopefully it will become an area where everyone from the best region in the world can come together and complain about the rain (Yes, I do know that the interior of BC has very different weather then the coastal BC area)

It was pouring here, too, yesterday. That was part of the reason I made the comment as I was rather disgusted with the rain. Though it cleared up nicely here today, also. Partly cloudy with scattered showers... but dry enough to get a descent ride on the bike in.

Oh, it's not a physical forum seperate from this one. Just another area. I looked at that area, but didn't think it was it.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
BTW, I am still interested in having a barbeque in the next few weeks at my house. All will be welcome, regardless if you are driving your 3rd Gen or not.
Unfortunately, my neck injury has been bothering me again plus my mother was just diagnosed with cancer and they are suppose to be operating on her this week. So that has been keeping me busy driving between the Coast & Interior.

Heck, I just noticed all the Chris'....and I know a couple of more. I probably could have a "Chris Party". And since "more" is "mas" in Spanish, my wife would call it a "Chris Mas Party".

If you're having trouble with your back, we can split the work on the GTA... I'll rebuild the lower half and you can drink the beer.
And in Costa Rica my Spanish name isn't "Chris", it's "El Gringo del Norte".

It's not my back (though that's not too good either), it's my neck (with radiating pain in my arms).
And my Spanish name was "El Gringo Loco Canadiense".

I don't know spanish, or even to play with it. So I will not even try.
On a different note, I have been attacking the camaro with a clay bar since 5am this morning, re-aquainting my self with every square inch of it's body. Taking a bit of a break now. It really needs to be polished. Not sure yet if I'll hand polish it, or machine polish. Some areas look like it'll need a machine, but we'll see.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
You really made a wrong turn somewhere. j/k (kinda)
As Fast Electrics said, this is the Interior of BC thread and it's 400+ kms (plus a ferry ride) off. You can try the "Vancouver" thread but why not start your own "Vancouver Island" thread (like this one) and see if there is a group out there?
I know there are a number of members on Vancouver Island, so I am sure that you might be able to develop something similar to this post (though it may take some time).
Also, check out the Pacific Northwest Regional Board. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/paci...thwest-region/
It's for WA, OR, ID & BC. I also go there too. AmorgetRS is trying to develop it so all BC members are also welcome to post there too.
Of course, you are welcome to come and meet with us if you want to drive to up to the Interior.

Re: Anyone from the Interior of BC?
I think we have all been waiting for the weather to warm up. Spring has definitely been cooler this year than past.
But I'm ready to fire up "Old Smokey" anytime I hear the weather is going to be warm. I would like to do this before Victoria Day long weekend, as most people have "family stuff" to deal with. Maybe the weekend of May 12-13? It's only two weeks away, but the weather needs to warm up a bit.

Yeah, I agree warmer weather would be nice, and less rain. But that'll come eventually, since may is a rainy month. I have not even insured the camaro yet.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum even though I've owned my 87 Iroc for twelve years. I live in kelowna and I've known Fastelectrics for several years as well. As I said I've got a 1987 Iroc in White with black stripes coming out of the hood louvers and over the back. It's got a fairly stock 305 TPI and a beefed up 5-speed trans. I just spent the day pulling the TPI plenum and runners off and re-painting them in Graphite Metalic. I used to work in a powdercoating shop so in the off season I've managed to powdercoat a few items on the car like brackets, fittings and the valve covers.
