sail panel fiberglass/wood box? for component's
any one ever done anything like this? to make the say face towards the front?
i no longer use my back seats , and i was thinking of going to a audio place that does wood or fiberglass to hold a set of Component speakers
like have the passanger side tilt to the driver while the driver tilts to the passanger
have it so the mounting screws are still on the outside and make it so it stone stick out farther then say your seat would sit alot farther back then that , basicly its stock place just look like its bracket was bent out a little , have a molded/fitted box for that would look cool crawped in vinyl , if the vertical doors dont come through with there bolt on 87's hopinh to test , i might look into to doing this , any one got some input on it ?
if it wasnt so cold out i would do a carboard mock-up to see what it would look like

Next time you go to a concert, turn around so that your back is to the stage and see how much you enjoy the show.
I use the same philosophy for designing a stereo as I would for listening to live music. I want my sound up in front of me, not behind me, so I concentrate my efforts and my cash on my front stage and don't worry about the back.
But, if you do want to focus your efforts behind you, there's no shortage of space to come up with anything that you can think up. I've seen some guys build out their sail panels, but I have yet to see one that looks tasteful and compact. You could build a separate enclosure where your back seat went, but it seems like that's an awful lot of work for very little sonic benefit.
