Advice.....

I just bought a Sony Xplod 1000 watt amp. My question is do I need a battery for 1000 watt amp.? Im gonna have some Sony Xplod "12 Subs. How so I set this up, pics and any advice would be GREAT!

no offense but sony is notorious for overrating their amps for example my friend bought a sony 1000watt amp from walmart for just a hair under 200 and when we were on vacation in his truck we were driving thru OK and we stopped at the stillwater facility (kicker)and we were talkin with a sales rep and my friend felt he should bragg about a sony amp at the kicker factory so the guy had us pull the amp and hooked it up their machine and it was pushing 250-260 watts at 4 ohms bridged where u take something like kickers 700 watt amp that is pushing almost 1000. sorry for the little story but when it comes to amps, like most things u get what u pay for

lol and to answer your initial question no you shouldnt need to add anything to your cars electrical system to facilitate that amp, assuming that your car's electrical system is up to par to begin with.

Well put about soney. That goes for most amps too make sure you read RMS. But it there are any problems with dimming lights get a capacitor.
