This is my first Camaro so im a newbe! I got a 92 with the Bose system in it. I removed the rear speakers and put in my aftermarket subs. I have 2 bazooka 12's and a 900w Rocksford amp.
1. Now here is my problem, with the car turned off everything sounds great, but as soon as i start my engine i can hear the engine running through the subs??? Is this common with this car, and/or does anyone know what i can do to stop it?
2. Is there factory wiring in the sails if i wanted to put speakers there or will i have to run my own wiring? (i looked and didnt see any but i just wanna make sure it isnt hidden away somewhere is didnt notice)

You have your amp power wire and rcas running on the same side of the car, so your getting the bleed over from the power wire. Run the rcas on one side of the car then run the power wire on the other side of the car to the amp.

Hope you didn't butcher anything with that factory Bose system - those things are rare and alot of folks will pay a pretty penny for that stuff!

I guess i am going to have to try to run them separate. I just dont see why that would be the problem as i have had the subs and amp in 3 other cars and always ran them together without a problem.

And i didnt butcher anything getting it out but unfortunately when i bought the car the 2 rear speakers and the passenger front did not work and the pass front and driver rear made a squelching noise. Someone on another forum said it was a problem with the factory amps. If that's true i read an article on here about how the amps tend to crack solder joints and the joints are easy to identify. But when i tried to get the enclosure apart it seems glued together and i didnt wanna brake it?

I have the same problem with the squeal, but only when I have my radio tuner on. I left all the bose stuff inside the car but disconnected it and now have aftermarket 6x9's in the sail, and 4x6's in the dash, and just a sony xplod deck without amp. Is there something else I need to disconnect in order to use my radio, I can't even tune 1 station in?

And does anyone know of a deck that would work with the bose stuff if I rebuilt the amps in the kick panels and rear shelf?

I have been hooking up stereos for a good time now and i have came across this problem only a few times... The 1st thing you should check is the ground wire...It shoudnt be more then 12"s long and make sure you sand the area clean and shiny where you ground it to...If this isnt the problem then yes you want to run your power and rcas on different sides to stop all noise...Just my 2 cents
