Cleaning cloth top

Over the years, my original cloth top and rear window have gotten some type of ground-in dirt or a stain in it. What methods have you found to work the best in trying to clean them? I've been hesitant to go trying anything that might make things worse since there's no cash for now to be replacing the top, so thought I'd check in to see what others have found.

Re: Cleaning cloth top

For the top it's hard to beat the Ragg Top cleaner and protectant which is endorsed by Hartz for their cloth fabric. It's available from Eckler's www.ecklerscamaro.com

Meguiars plastic cleaner and polish works real well for the plastic rear window. It's available at most auto parts stores. I can't remember which is which but one is in a blue bottle, the other is white.

Good Luck!

Re: Cleaning cloth top

Flitz is a good product for the plastic window especially if it has yellowed - available lots of places

The Ragg Topp products include one for cleaning, one for conditioning, make sure you get the one for fabric tops as they make separate products for vinyl or fabric - cheapest source I foiuind for these was MidAmerica Corvette parts, they sell a 2 pack of the cleaner/conditioner.
