1990 camaro enterior lights not working when door opens

please help if you can no power going to the door switch when the door opens and the rear view mirror light doesnt light up .The power is going to the rear view mirror to turn on with the headlight switch but it dont light up when the door opens like it shoud fuses are good and when i put a test light to the tan wire no power or the white no power Help .This is a convertible any idead im stumped

I would say check your grounds, both up top and the one coming from the door switch.

Make sure the switch in the door jam is actually pushing in and out like it is supposed to. I know my wife had the same problem with her IROC-Z, except the lights would come on when the passenger door was opened, but not the driver side door. The reason was that the switch in the driver side door jam was getting stuck and wouldn't push out when the door was opened.
