universal under dash a/c and heater

I am looking into putting heat and a/c back into my car. I want to keep the assembly in the passenger compartment because I have gotten used to being able to easily change my sparkplugs. I have been looking at some of the universal evaporator kits at http://www.aapak.com/acunits.htm. They don't seem to have any blend doors but control the heater with an inline control valve. Have any of you used anything like this? If so How did it work for you.
Thanks,
Kory
