UMI K-member A/C clearance

I've found that it will not clear with Fbody accessories, but what about using truck accessories?

I've narrowed down my selection to UMI or PA Racing, but PA racing's website won't load anymore and they never replied to an email from a week ago.

If UMI's k-member can clear truck A/C location I'll just go with them.

With my good friend being a UMI distributor, and PA racing already good pricing, BMR ends up being a bit too spendy for me.

Re: UMI K-member A/C clearance

Factory LS A/C needs relocated when running a UMI tubular k-member, we recommend an A/C relocation kit from www.kwikperf.com

Unfortunately running the A/C like that won't work with the rest of my plan.

Hello, We didn't answer the phone? I am sorry. Was it during business hours and/or did you happen to leave a message? We have 7 people in the office at all times, unless all three lines are tied up (which happens a lot) we don't usually miss a call and if there is a message we usually call them right back.

Sorry if something didn't work out like that?

The the original poster... you need to relocate the AC up top and it will work, our design just doesn't have the lower clearance.

I believe that comment was in regards to PA Racing not answering my email.

Unfortunately I need the A/C to run off the 4-rib belt to allow for the 8-rib conversion I am planning.

Do you know by how much it interferes with the A/C?

EDIT: IF it helps I should have both the truck and fbody A/C compressors and mounts here so I could get pictures and measurements on the difference in them.

I don't know if this idea will work with your plan, but I used all of the accessories off a 92-95 Corvette. It gets the AC and alt up and you can stay with the original K-member.

I got this off e-bay. There were 2 complete sets back a few months ago.

Whoops! My bad and I apologize.

The AC hits very bad and the k-member needs cut.

Check with Hawks Thirdgen... last I heard they were working on a brackets to work with our k-member. We did an LS swap in our 1972 Lemans and used a Holley bracket to relocate the alternator up top to prevent it from hitting the steering box.
