LT1 retrofit into *$ z28 PCM questions

Make that an 84 z28. I know that everybody says to remove VATs. I don't have it so I will have it deleted. My question is: with a stand alone harness (from Techrods) what else could I delete? I want to keep my A/C (daily driver in south Texas) but would like to delete things like O2 and MAF. Are these possible deletes. Are there others? I have already disposed of the EGR and AIR stuff. Trying to get the MPFI to work without having to buy something like 8 different $100.00 sensors.

Re: LT1 retrofit into *$ z28 PCM questions

You could delete the MAF and O2 but that isn't recommended. The MAF tells the ECM the airflow into the engine for various calculations for fueling and spark. Without it the ECM would create an airflow value based on TPS & engine RPM. Which isn't as accurate.

The O2 sensor is required for closed loop operation. Can run without it if you want to run open loop fueling.
