WinBin question

I just downloaded WinBin. My intent is to use it on a 1227165 ECM (87 TPI w/MAF). I can't get the program to work. It asks me to select a BIN file on the first screen. What is this file?
I previously downloaded WinALDL and that works just fine.

The BIN file is the BINary file you're going to edit with Winbin. It is the program that you are going to burn onto the EPROM with your prom programmer when you have edited it.

There are BINs on the DIYEFI site. You'll also need the correct .ECU file for the mask for your ECM to allow Winbin to interpret the binary into English.

give GMECM Edit a try. its as good (or better) than winbin, and uses the same ECU files.
