Tuning without IAC...$61

Well, I did it and it works beautifully. the Holley TB is on the engine and I have been tuning it all day. BLMs in the idle ragne are starting to come together with a range of 124-129..it has the occasional 118, but that is gonna go away quickly I hope. The upper end stuff is looking pretty good too. I have had to pull a fair amount of spark out of the Main SA table, but it definitely cleaned up the spark pops (bass drum beats) that I was previously hearing. The idle is still a little rich, but I have pulled just about as much fuel out of that part of the VE1 as I care to. I think the Idle AFR table is next on the list to get moved around. Spark knock is almost completely eliminated from the thing and that's a good thing...no melted pistons here!
Any advice on the idle AFR thing would be appreciated.

Set the location at $222 to zero. That is the IAC opening fuel pulse term. Since no IAC, don't need a fuel pulse.

I finally got to this after a day of utter hell. I have been doing mechanical type stuff all day. I managed to fix my alternator problem, my power steering hose leak, AND my rotten water pump all in one day...Ieven put the A/C compressor back on it and replaced all the belts. I didn't do much tuning though. I cranked it up and ran it for a few minutes. I had it in DIAG mode because I thought I had done something really bad to the ECM like let the magic smoke out of it.
Anyway, the idle is cleaning up nicely. Maybe it'll clean up somemore after I change this value in the BIN and run it some. BLMs are REALLY nice in the idle to 1600 range up to about 50 KPa. I have nearly 128 across the board with the occasional 126 thrown in every now and then. INTs are equally as nice at idle and even with my hand holding the throttle open. We'll see what happens when I finally get the fan back in it and I can run it without it getting hot.
