If he only accepts PayPal, I have PayPal and you can send me the check and I'll send him PayPal payments. If you're still interested, post here.

I personally dont see anything wrong with paypal. Its free for the buyer- no cost to set up or use- and you can debit the money from a credit card, your checking account, or you can mail paypal a check. My credit card on file with paypal is protected against fraud, and my checking account with paypal is through my Visa check card- also protected. Paypal even offers insurance on purchases that ensure delivery of goods or your reimbursed. Maybe I havent read all the fine print, but I have been a Paypal user for 3 years and I have not had any problems. No faulty debits, nothing.

Now as a seller- its cost me some money. The seller- the one RECIEVING money- gets charged. Its like $0.75 +2.8% of the transaction. When I was selling chopper mini bikes for $300-350 I would lose like $10-12 on each sale. It was still worth it because my buyers would not have purchased one if they couldnt use a credit card- so it made the sale. But thats another story....

I agree, SBNova. I purchased a cell phone off Ebay a while back, and the seller never sent it to me. I filed a fraud complaint with PayPal and they took the money from him and said they would give it ALL back to me if he did not send it to me with proof. I got the phone pretty quick after that, and released the money back to the jerk. They're pretty good about buyer protection.

Please note that if you do choose to send me a cashier's check/money order, it takes 3-4 days to go from my bank to PayPal, so please plan accordingly.

I got a question regarding the GP. What if I want the LCD display? What's the GP price for bundle that includes this?

If we don't get a discount on the second bundle, then the GP price for bundle 1 is $250. If I buy the LCD separately at $149 for the LCD that's a total of $399 anyway....exactly what bundle 2 is regularly priced.

Can someone find out?

Okay, got an e-mail back from him;

ZT-2 + LCD @ 10, $360
ZT-2 + LCD @ 20, $350

That is, if we get 10 people in a group buy, whether they're buying an LCD or not, the group buy price is as above for the ZT-2 with the LCD.

I marked those who want the LCD with an asterik.

So then if 19 people only buy the ZT-2 standalone, and 1 person buys the ZT-2 WITH the LCD it's only $350?

You may need to get one more. I am still mulling it over between this or getting the sensor for my DIY WB Kit.
When is the planned date for ordering?

Unfortunately I need to use my money for the WB elsewhere, so you can remove me from the list.

And you still have 20 people without me so that is a good too

Here's the reply I got back from him...

Hi,
right now we are having two group buys we need to finish. We can start this one next week.
At the end of the week, please provide me a list of participants and configuration.

Thanks,
Zbigniew
So at the end of this week, we'll cutoff the list and send it to him.

1, or 2? I got your e-mail, but I need your address, and whether or not you can pay with PayPal; if not, you will need to send me a Money Order or Cashier's Check and I will pay with PayPal on your behalf. We currently have 24 people on the list I believe, not including you.

Yes, I will. I'm gathering everyone's info to send to him first, then he will give me further instructions from there. You won't PayPal me, you will PayPal Zeitronix. If you (others) do not have PayPal, you can send me either a cashier's check, or a money order, and I will put it into my PayPal account and send it to him.

He asked me to send everyone's info around the end of this week, so I'm trying to get it. I've got maybe 4 or 5 more people to get and I'll compile the list and send it to him.

Ken, Will they let us add a few items, maybe in our Paypal payment? I want two or three O2 sensor bungs. I think theyre $7 each on their site- unless anyone knows somewhere cheaper. Can we lobby for a discount on that stuff too?

Ken,

I noticed they have a USB to Serial port adapter. If you already have the RS adapter, do you think this would be necessary in order to use newer laptops?

I don't know about a discount on $7 - that's kinda pushing it, I would think. I'm sure he'd put those in too, if you want them though.

I don't think it'd be necessary, no. RS232 is RS232, no matter how you cut it. If you've already got it, I wouldn't worry about it.

I thought so to. But, I bought a Serial to USB converter cable so I could use my EASE scan tool on my new laptop. It won't connect.
Perhaps I need to change the port number in EASE since it originally looks for Port 1 as the serial port.

Serial/USB capability??
I'm confused now.

Does the Zietronix WB use a serial port or a USB port on the computer ?

The Zietronix Wb uses the Serial connection to the PC. At least that is what it says on their website
