I have a 92 camaro rs with the 305 tbi. I have hedman headers,straight pipe through cat, flowmasters,1.6 roller rockers, tbi spacer, fuel injector spacer, underdrive pullies, brand new bottom end and I have the money to do more. But from what I've read you cant do much unless you tune. So what would be the best prom burning setup be for me. I've never tuned anything on it, nor do i know how I've tried reading the stickies but they are pretty foreign to me. Such as I dont know what to change and what not to change so give me some comment thanks,

With the TBI, I'd either go with a Moates.net AutoProm to hook up to your laptop (gotta have one to tune!), or possibly RBob's Ultimate TBI lockers set up.

And go back and re-read the stickies and Prom Burning intro. You've got to understand that info at least a bit before you can even ask an intelligent question - been there and done that, altho some will still never accuse me of asking intelligent questions LOL

If you have never tuned a PROM before then I would start out with a simple ALDL cable and PROM burner. Read the current post about the newbie trying to figure out "how to tune of the fly". Tuning on the fly without knowing what you are doing can get you in trouble quick.

Most people learn how to drive slow in the driveway at first, not out on a racetrack. For some reason, DIY PROM tuners feel that this methodology does not apply to PROM tuning. I just don't get it.

If you are the type that learned to drive the first time out on a racetrack then by all means jump into on the fly tuning because you are gifted.

I second the start slowly trick.

Makes your life a lot easier and your way less prone to screwing things up and getting lost.

I also advocate learning tuning before you actually seriously modify the car so you know what u r doing once u actually modify it.

Once u get your feet wet, investigate Rbob's wonderful new device the EBL.

have any of you heard or talked to anyone who prom tunes in louisiana. The reason I ask is I dont want to mess anything up b/c its an everyday driver. Thanks Dave
