well i switched from an automatic to a manual trans and im having a few little issues. iv already cleared any codes and all the functions that i no longer need and thats all fine and dandy. but the thing is, when im coming to a stop and i press the clutch and put it in neutrel, the iac counts are at about 60 and it idles really high, like 1500rpms untill i come to a dead stop then all of the sudden the iac counts drop to 16 and it idles good. how do i get it to just put me into an idle mode any time at at 0% throttle? i want it to drop my iac counts right when i let off the juice, or at least close after. theres obviously some table i cant find that is set to keep the iac up until i reach a certain mph.
it is a 7427 ecm in a 95 truck, the ecm does belong to this truck so it was for an automatic tranmission.

I know how you feel about threads in this section, but keep in mind not many members dive into tuning at home with our ecms.If you looking for bins..try the database on www.moates.net and see if any of those fit the bill.Good luck and post if you make any progress..I know I would like to know the answer to this aswell one day.
All I can suggest is searching the forums on how others have tuned their ecms from auto to manual.I would imagine that since your still not fined tuned..cruise controll is having issues..the ecm itself does not like a constant speed as of yet,but Im literally trying to get into tuning myself using an emulator and its rather intimidating so far but Im not about to give up.
Email tech support at moates if they have a bin that is closer to what your running,pm members on here from other threads who might be able to assist you.I hit up everyone I can and keep tinkering but take notes of anything you change.Tuning seems to be a long road ahead with these ecms.

thats a great idea, ill just give moates a call. im sure they have what i need but its so unorganized i need someone to tell em what bin file is for the manual trans.
theres still something in the tune that i cant quite get, becasue the iac counts dont drop down untill im at a full stop. but i did cure the problem by leaning out the ve tables big time in the lower vacuum areas that would never see acceleration or cruising. like say 20 pounds of vacuum, ill never see that kind of vacuum unless i just let of the gas, so i leaned it out alot across the table at the lower vacuum. it still wants to idle at about 1200 when i step on the clutch pedal, but by the time i have slowed to a stop its down to my true idle speed of 600rpms with no delay. now if i can just get it to start up quicker.

i went through almost every single table, flags/switch's, and constants and found a few things that needed changing that have really improved my problems. first of all i changed probably 4 or 5 of my flags/switches to match the bin for the 4.3 5spd that 86whitet/a posted, i also noticed my main spark bias was set to 0 which is deffinitly a mistake, its always been set to about 9, so i moved it back up to that. and the biggest problem was the lower vacuum area of my ve table was WAY WAY too rich.
my problem now is my idle is so week, it idles nice and sounds great, but its just not a strong idle. if i turn the wheel it will bog the motor down and it may die. it acts odd when i turn the a/c on as well. i know i could solve this by making it idle richer, but then it wouldnt sound good, is there another way? maybe 5-600rpms is a little low. ill play around with it a bit and see. it idles between 14 and 16 as far as air fuel ratio goes, it can handle the lean idle but it cant keep itself running when i put any load on the motor like tuning the wheel. im using a 30lb flywheel vs a torque converter that weighs who knows what so the idle is going to be less predictable and i guess i need to compensate for it. imagine if i had went with a lightweight flywheel. im always jelouse of how predictable my buddys idle is on his 6.0 truck with a cam, it can sit there and lope away idling super lean all day and never miss a beat, i think its becasue the 4l80e he runs with that enormous 100lb torque converter.
