need help installing a tach on a V6 MPFI camaro

Hey guys I just bought a sunpro auto tachII since i have the oversized gas meter, it's the small one, anyways I need to know where the wires connect, the color wires are:
red
white
black
green

now I need to know what color wire goes where, I know black is ground and thats it.

here are some important questions i need to know:

1.what is the redline for my V6????? I need to know so I can set the red arrow.

2.what is the normal reading when idling?

3.where is the best place to put my tach besides the dash?

please be detailed in telling me where the wires go, for example: the green wires goes near the alternator connected to the so and so.

sorry if i sound demanding or asking for to much, im just happy i got one and i wana hook it up ASAP thanks guys.

First of all, this is where the wires go

Red- is your 12v power source
Blk- is your ground
White- is your illumination source
Green- goes to your coil

When I had a Tach in my old 2.8 camaro, I mounted it upside down under the center A/C vents. I ran the white wire into the light bulb in the A/C controls. If you have HEI there is a "Tach" terminal on the coil. You hook the Green wire there. If you have a regular ignition, you hook the green wire to the negative side of the coil. The idle speed I think is 800 rpm. I am not sure but I think my redline was set at about 5200 rpm. If u have any other questions, e-mail me, rbltoy@yahoo.com
good luck
