Temp Guage

ok i was redoing my header gaskets and stuff, and i started the car and took it out and noticed my temp guage didnt work, im wondering how i can re hook it up under the hood... i looked inbetween 1&3 and i see a small pin coming out of the block but no wire to be seen.... the one under the intake is connected.... dunno wuts going on,, please help

Engine: LS1, 305 TPI
Transmission: 4L60E, 700R-4
Look for a solid green wire somewhere on the driver side, between the master cylinder and the engine. More than likely it fell off and is hanging somewhere or it fried on the exhaust manifold.

Engine: LS-1
Transmission: 4L60E
Guage sender is located between cyls 1&3. It is a brass device with a single male pin. As was said the wire is green and sort of slides on sideways. It's there somewhere, maybe hung up above a plug wire or as was stated COOKED.
