Firebird Instrument Cluster Problems

Well I suppose it's more of a speedo problem, but it has to do with the cluster. I have the electronic speedo in my car and it isn't always working. Go over a bump it starts working, go over another and it stops. I was thinking a loose connection at the speedo. I took the cluster out and the connections look a little dirty. I was going to clean it with rubbing alcohol but they look fragile and was wondering if it would be ok to clean them that way. Also any other suggestions as to the speedo not working right would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Alex

Yes clean with alcohol or electronic contact cleaner. For flat copper contacts you can even use a pencil eraser!

Basically you want clean snug electrical connections.
