Please Help! Hatch Motor.

I just got my 1990 camaro today and was "exploring" it. I was looking in the back seat and on the driver side on the side of the seat there was a wire and i pulled it out to see what it was and it came apart. There were 2 wires. One with a white line on it and the other one all black. I thought it would mess with the trunk closer motor so i hit the switch to open it and it opened but when i went to shut it the motor kicked in and pulled the trunk down but didnt latch shut. So i opened it and tried to close it again but the motor didnt kick in and close it so it is just sitting there not latched. Please Help!
