Got horns and now they stay on
so i finally got horns in the junk yard and when i installed them and plugged the battery back on they just went off and didnt shut up. i went to my horn buttons and they werent pushed in. i unplugged the line that runs into the column and it still didnt do anything. somehow the horns are getting power. i unplugged my "courtesy" fuse under the dash and it shut them up. anything i should check before splicing and making my own switch? any help is appreciated

The horn relay might be sticking.
To find out you can unplug it.
Remove the knee bolster.
The relay is to the right of the steering column.

That's a wonderful display for finding the horn relay. This is not to far off subject, are we suppose to have two horns or just one?

Unplug the horn relay.
Are the horns still sounding when the relay is removed?
If no, you have a short to ground on the black wire that goes from the horn buttons to the relay coil.
If yes, you have a short to power on the green wire from the relay socket to the horns.
