Hatch motor trouble

Hi guys I've been messing with my hatch motor since I bought the car trying to get it to work. When I went to see the car for the first time the motor was working properly. I asked the seller if it worked and he said yes so I went to try it and it worked as it should. 10-15 minutes later I opened the hatch again and the motor was stuck in the down position. I replaced the motor itself and the assembly still does not move. I noticed that there are a couple wires (white, orange, black) that come off of the motor that look to have been cut, which is strange because neither the seller or myself touched any of the wiring in the time between the motor was working and when it stopped working. I was just wondering if anyone knew what these wires go to? Thanks in advance.

2 white, 1 orange and one black wire that are cut off

Flipping His Lid

The White wire is for the cargo light, the orange wire connects the 2 relays in the system, the black wire is for ground.
