It COULD be a lot of things. If it has fuel, air, and spark....it'll fire. What's it missing? Pull a plug wire and see if you can ground it to the manifold and see a spark. I have a nifty $2 tester I got from Northern tool. See if you have a spark. You can also crank it a bit and pull a plug and see if it's wet and smells like gas. Again, there are test/noid light kits that the injector connector plugs into that will show you if there's a signal from the ECM to fire the injector. It's a specialty tool though. Gotta order it.

....also check fuel pressure. There's a fitting on the passenger side fuel rail towards the back, right on top of the rail. Pick up a cheap pressure gauage (or rent) and find out if you have pressure. No pressure, or too little pressure would probably indicate a bad fuel pump....or a bad relay etc. etc.
Off the top of my head....on an older car....I'd lean towards possibly a bad ignition module below the distributor cap, a bad fuel pump or pump relay...or possibly the injectors themselves. But of course it's possible that it's 1 of 100 different things. Again, fuel air and spark will fire the car. You're not getting either fuel or spark at the engine. Figure out which and follow the trail backwards to the source.

if you want to check your fuel pump you can jumper out 2 pins on the connector. That way you can eliminate a fuel issue.
