9 bolt rear and 350

9 bolt out of an 89 GTA with disc breaks painted it black. It has 2.77's in it and I also purchased a 3 series carrier (with unknown gears on it) 200 takes it all.

350 high nickel block out of a 71 chevelle, 87K on it. It ran well when I pulled it (5 years ago) and has been sitting in dry storage (filled with oil) since. 200 OBO

Live on Long island and I am willing to transport it anywhere on the island (gas cash apreaciated if outside of Suffolk)

Hi, I am interested in the 9 bolt rear.. Is it posi? How many estimated miles are on it? How are the teeth on the gears and how is the posi unit? Does it need a rebuild? Would it be able to just bolt right up to my car?
Please let me know,
Thanks,
Dennis

The rear is a possi, as I was told it has somewere around 70K on it, the gears look good no missing teeth, I would definatly suggest a rebuild for it especially if your going to put the second set of gears in it. It will bolt up to any third gen firebird or camaro, if you have drum breaks you have to change the proportioning valve under the break master to a disc break valve.

L.I.N.Y.92CAMARO your before me... im in college right now and i am looking for a rear end that can hold a lil above 425Crank HP with an auto tranny... i cant afford a 9" or 12 bolt do you know how much power these 9 bolts can hold? I have heard they are signifigantly better then the 10 bolts...

From what I understood the 9 bolts are very stout compared to the 10 bolts that fit in the 3rd gens which is why I origonally bought it. I understand the whole college thing im doing the same right now which is why im selling the spare rear and engine.

I havn't heard from L.I.N.Y.92CAMARO for a few days now so I don't know if he is still interested or not.

Is the engine still for sale? If so, has the engine been bored out ever?

Yes the motor is still for sale, as far as I know there has never been any major work done to it. it still has the crappy 72cc factory heads on it. When I bought/pulled the motor the owner had an edelbrock intake and carb on it and an accel distributor. other than that the car looked stock. if you want i can write down the engine codes for you so you can look it up.
