383 SBC for sale

I've decided to sell my 383. Don't know if anyone here is local to Laramie, WY (or within driving distance), but I figured it was worth a shot. Laramie is about 50 miles from Ft. Collins, CO, just fyi. I have family in Colorado Springs...it's possible to have it delivered to the Denver region, within reason.

I'm looking for $3000 for the motor. There are a few accessories available for extra (bellhousing, flywheel, and Luk clutch).

It has less than 3000 miles (although I don't have the exact figure). This motor is a GM ZZ383 *clone*, but with much better heads. I've never had it dyno'd, but it's a bonafied 430+HP motor easily.

Specs are as follows:

-Built by Racing Heads Service (RHS) in the mid-90's (sat in the car for a long while before fired)
-.40 over (so it's really a 385ci motor), high nickel 010, pre-86 block
-2 bolt main, cast GM crank (external balance), PM rods, Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons
-Chad Speier Econo ported Profiler 195 heads with 62cc chambers, 10.6:1 compression (heads alone were $1500). These heads flow over 280cfm at .500 lift and have upgraded valve springs for lift up to .680 lift. http://www.speierracingheads.com/profilerecono.htm
-Crane hydraulic roller cam and lifters, cam specs are 222/228 at .050 with a 112 LSA (same exact cam as the GM ZZ383 motor, but for a pre-86 block instead of a factory roller block)
-Cloyes aluminum timing chain cover
-Trick Flow 1 piece hardened push rods
-1.6:1 Harland Sharp roller rockers for a net lift of .542/.563. Rockers are on 3/8" ARP studs
-Weiand Stealth dual plane intake
-Moroso oil pan, pump, and pick-up

I have a Hays billet flywheel balanced for this motor as well as a brand new Luk clutch with not even 100 miles on it to go with the motor if you want to run a manual tranny. I want an extra $300 for the flywheel and clutch. I also have two bellhousings to choose from. One is an iron bell, meant for a 55-57 Chevy and the other is a big aluminum 621 bell (which is a desirable piece I guess). I would like $150 for the 621...the iron one is free. I did run it with an auto for a while as well so that obviously an option, but I don't have a flex plate for it.

I have video of the engine running here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/873789...ream/lightbox/

I just pulled it on July 13th, 2014 for a 420 Dart SBC and it's sitting on an engine stand now.

This is a really nice cruiser or street/strip motor that packs a good punch, but it's not a race motor by any means. I ran it on 91 octane with an MSD distributor (with vacuum advance)...has great street manners. Cruises well at 1500 RPM but winds up very quickly and has great torque. Oil pressure was always very good even while hot at idle. I ran it with power vacuum brakes for a while and it was fine (with the dual plane intake).

I can't deliver...you'll need to pick it up yourself with a truck, but I do have an engine hoist to load it.

This engine has a lot of nice parts on it and it's a full roller motor.

Here are a few pics of it and the heads that are on it.
