LT1 Fan connectors....

Anyone got a pic of these and what wires they will be near? Will they connect into thirdgen dual fan setups w/o modification?

EDIT: Yuck, needs relays.....would it be a bad thing to have both fans on all the time until I can afford the relays? lol By that I mean will the motor run too cool? ( I know these things prefer about 220ºF...

Now for a funny cooling system anecdote from today.

I get up early, looking to drop this thing off the jackstands today. Maybe even get it out for a testdrive! But I ddin't know what I had in store for myself today....It all started when I started the motor. I had some weird brown leak last night, and was concerned. I tracked it down to the compression fittings on the fuel lines. I nearly sh*t myself when I thought of the fire hazard. 20 mins later I had them down so tight, a hydrogen ion would be lucky to sneak in. The running of my car afterwards and the small revvings woke my sister up. I had to demonstrate. I revved it up to around 5000RPM. On the way down, coolant shot into the air....I must have forgotten something. I rev it again, and another spurt of coolant, but this time I see it. ?????? Its coming from an inactiv.....oh crap! So I realize it was my poor attempt at keeping my heater control valve. Well, it has to be eliminated, no biggy....but I still want to pressure test the system. A flash of inspiration (Well really a wave of stupidity) strikes me. I know where some extra vacume is, I'll run it to the heater control valve! It works great! Gets up to temp no problem. Sweet, a good 2 hours work, fuel and coolant systems 100%. So I go shut the car off....first I hear some gurgling, and then a VOLCANO of coolant comes shooting up the passanger side of my engine bay. At first I think what blew up?! Then reality hit me....and I couldn't find my hand operated vacume pump to turn it off. 10 minutes later, 2+ gallons of coolant all over the engine and driveway. I wanted to cry.

To further my frustration, I realize I am missing a bolt in my headers. So after everything cools/dries I decide to put in a bolt there. I spent 2 hours on the thing, and strained a muscle in my forearm. The problem is the LT1 gasket, is was missing a hold for one of the bolts, so I drilled it, just not quite large enough...why I didn't put that bolt in when the engine was not yet in the car I will never know For now, its running minus 1 header bolt, how bad of an exhaust leak (if any) do you think that will make? lol

Oh well, another day, another story. I'll see about recording the sound of the car tomorrow...

You need them controlled, the connectors you'll have to use on your stock engine harness, you can buy a fan kit to control em, or hook em to the stock controls, you need relays and they are cheap, hell you could go to a junkyard and snag a handful if you need to.

....well, the 1 fan motor was dead, and I used fuel pump relays to control them...Works fine. For the connectors, I used standard blade connectors, with insulation they hook into PCM A10 and A11....man everything on this car turns into a project!

I used regular Single Pole Double Throw relays I bought for $2.95 a piece at Autozone commonly used for foglights, etc. For the connectors to the fans, I went to the junkyard and cut some off and spliced them. I had to buy a fan also and it was around $30 at Murrays.
