LS1 Custom Fuel, A/C, and Coolant Hoses

Hey guys, its been awhile since I've posted, but I'm getting a lot closer to being done. In case you didnt know, I'm putting a 2000 LS1 in my 91 Z28.

I've got the heads and cam installed in the motor, got the motor back together, got my harnesses spliced together, got the fuel pump switched out, and got the motor sitting on top of the tubular k-member under the car which is sitting on jackstands.

1) I was looking at the fuel lines and stock we have a threaded rubber hose. The LS1 has the quick connect fitting. What is the easiest way to hook up the fuel line? Make an adapter that threads on one side, and quick connects on the motor?

2) Stock 91 Radiator. What radiator hoses do I need? Do I still need to use the Steering pump cooler that came with the LS1, or do I block those off on the pump?

3) LS1 Compressor to stock 91 evap and A/C components. How do I go about getting the LS1 hooked up to my 91 stuff, just take it to an A/C shop?

I'm sorry if any of this has been answered before, but after searching for about an hour, I am still confused. Also, any completed swap pictures would be greatly apriciated. Close up and showing the actual lines would be awesome. Thanks in advance

you need a regulator.. the easiest solution is what those little "kits" are.... mount the regulator on the framerail right by the return and feed lines... then take your regulated pressure port and make a line that fits the regulator on one end, and has a quick connect on the other end.
i did not do this.. instead i redid my entire fuel system so one line went up and to the rail, and a vette filter/regulator was at the rear of the car... this isnt the easiest answer though.. lol

upper, stock 99-02 fbody hose... without the steering cooler. ditch the cooler and get a regular PS pressure line.. it'll directly connect to your steering box.
lower, do a search on my name on here or on LS1tech.com i dont have the number infront of me, but i posted it... also lookup StngKlr if you cant find it under my name.. he's the one that gave me the part number.
air bypass: you'll need to screw a fitting into the radiator's heater core return, then run a hose from the air/throttlebody coolent fitting to it.
heater core: just hook up the lines to the firewall big to big, small to small... i used lines with molded 90* ends.... put the 90s on the firewall, and it looks cleaner.

a shop should be able to make you the lines... id try a hydraulic shop first.. they're usually cheaper.

www.fbodymotorsports.com has a bracket that can alow you to use your stock ac compressor. There is a guy on this board that has it. I think his name is flyinlow or something like that.

I'm not going to be using the 3rd gen compressor, I already sold it with my motor, and I have plenty of room with the k-member

Hawks. The only thing that sucked was he didnt supply bolts, and the stock bolts don't work right. So I called up Bruce and ordered my headers today, and asked him to include some of teh bolts he uses when he does the swap.

I can't wait to get this bitch running!

Anyone have some pics of their LS1 installed?
