you can use the intank electric pump as long as you put in an inline fuel pressure regulator. that would be easier than dropping the tank to get the electric one out.

i did the same thing your doing but i used a mechanical fuel pump and left my electric one in the tank but with the fuse pulled. my mechanical one seems to draw though the electric one ok but i wouldnt recommend doing it that way.

im not sure why you have two fuel lines on the drivers side, i had one on the passenger side and one on the drivers side, the passenger side one was from the fuel pump and the one on the drivers side was the fuel return line. i just plugged the fuel return line untill i get the tank out to disconnect it and pull out the electric fuel pump.

my car was a Crossfire car though too so the fuel lines may differ from yours.

You would have to get an inline Fuel Pressure Regulator that can go from the 60(?) PSI of the TPI to the 4-5 PSI needed for the carb.

As far as the two lines, the larger one is the incoming fuel and the smaller is the return line.

Although I am of the opinion that carb is as good as any setup, I must ask... Why are you not sticking to TPI? If you already have all of the system, and all of the system is running fine, I feel you should use it. I realize its not my business, but I am curious.

thanks the reason i am going to carb is cause the tpi motor was shot to hell and i had a carb motor laying around and funds are tight so i figured i would put that in also i am more comfortable with carbs i tell ya though thins is my first swap and what a pain in the butt

can i for now run a line from the fuel line to the mechanical pump and block off the return line and pull the electric fuel pump fuse just for temporary use?
