Nice! But you should paint the inserts black. I think the rims would look much better that way.

Wow :hail: Looking fantastic swede!! Those will look sharp on the gorgeous IROC! I know what Freeze is saying but I think that painting the inserts black will detract from the fact that you have chrome rims so I would leave them personally.

Be sure to post pics of them on your ride! I assume they are also 8" so 245's on them or can you fit wider tyres?

What about the not so pretty square shaped turnsignals? Is that a swedish-law thing? what size of tires are you runnding and how did you lower the car. keep up the good work, man.

The turn signals are a swedish law thing , so i have to have theme but it´s Ok , i have tried to find white ones but they only come in orange .

The car have eibach sportline springs and koni 3-way shocks .

the tyres are Dunlop 9000zr in 235/40-18

Wow Graboid that is a beauty! There are some great looking cars on this board!!! Do you have many engine restrictions in Switzerland? I hear the law doesn't like things too noisy, too smelley or too bright Is it true?

you can go too low, especially if you do it the ******* way by cutting springs, but there are so many low japanese and german cars around here, that even a 3 inch drop doesn't look extreme low.the cops are used to front spoilers which are 1 or 2 inch off the ground. The kids do that to their compact cars. a few years ago ai had an iroc-z with t-tops. That one was very low. means 3 1/2 inch front 3 inch back. I got pulled over by the cops one day, and they asked me some routine stuff about driverslicense and stuff. No word about the low stance. They looked a bit confused though when i took off, pushing a shovel full of gravel away with the air dam............

Those wheels look awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I have to give you a lot of praise on that.:hail: :hail:

It's just a shame that no-one does the wheels in a wider size for bigger tires.

Hey ukz28, try North Hants Tyres on 01252 613261 They stock a huge amount of aftermarket wheels, or at least can get them for you.

Cheers,

Felix is correct.
My twin brother lives in Fleet, where North Hants Tyres is. The last time I was down there I enquired about some 18" IROC rims exactly like swedes. They didn't have any in, but said they could get them. Better have a big wallet though.

Andy.

PS To import from the States direct, see http://www.performancewheeloutlet.com/about.html and click on the Camaro link down the left hand side. The 18 x 8's chromes are about $294 each. Bit cheaper if they are polished.

a set of polished 18s for $192 per wheel... tempting isn't it - and they would look sweet - or even 18's at the rear and 17s at the front :lala: mind you shipping wold cost a fortune!!! BTW wierd how the 17s are only 1/2 lb heavier than the 16s yet the 18s are 3 1/2 lbs heavier than the17s

i'd expect the difference in weight to be non linear, each inch you go up requiers more metal, because the circumferance of the wheel goes up by more than a set ammount, (it goes up in a curve)
so if 17's are 1 lb hevier than 16's and 18 3/12 lbs more than 17's i'd expect 19's to be about 7 lbs hevier than 18's

this is due to the fact that the extra metal requerd to make the rims, increases more each size you go up ( a 1 inch increase doesn't require 1 lb more metal, it requires x % more, if you see where i'm coming from...)

also, don't forget that, in order to retain the same rolling diameter, the profile of the tyre is reduced, and the tyre will be lighter,

235 60 15's are hevier than 235 50 16's....

if you have any friend that take a container over to youre contry you will get theme mouch cheaper . i did so , my friend took some cars over so my rims was packed in a car .

on my orginal rims 16" i hade 245/50-16 and now on 18" i have 235/40-18 and thats the same roll diameter. The tyres is not so expensive over here if you buy theme at the right place , we have many big stores that sells tyres cheap . it´s wurth it to check diffrent tyres stores to find a good tyre cheep .

I think the polish style is not on stock anymore , we called around and no store had theme , only crome .
