Here are the bullets. Very simple to make both of these set ups. If I can do it, any moran can!
P.S. The 2 1/2" took me to 11.60 at 118 MPH on street tires N/A!!

What HP pushed up to that kinda speed? More details on the car maybe?

Any pics of both set ups with the car on the ground to compare clearnace.

Thanks.

ps-craftmanship looks fine to me. If it works, it works right.

I don't have any pics of the 3" on the car, but here's one of the 2 1/2" with x-pipe. I used the 3" on the street for a short time, but the sound was unbearable. I had a 406 with dart heads and a solid roller at the time. I have not tried the 3" at the strip yet. I can tell you this...I was running a pair of Edelbrock headers with a 3" mandrel bent pipe and a Flowmaster. That system cost big bucks in my opinion (at the time.) The 2 1/2" with x-pipe made a noticeable difference in both power and sound on my application. Midrange torque and throttle response seemed to be enhanced. I have no hardcore proof, but as they say, "the butt dyno doesn't lie". I admit that this system is choking my motor because of the small primary tubes, but this system was fairly inexpensive to fabricate. It consists of Hedman long tubes, 2-2 1/2" s-extensions, a Sumitt x-pipe kit, and 2 spintech mufflers. Sumitt's x-pipe kit is all mandrel bends, so the system flows decent. The car has a totally different sound over the single 3". I've had many complements about the sound. This system is not the best, but it is easy to fab and somewhat inexpensive. I've never had problems with speed bumps or R/R tracks. Tuck the pipes up as you weld. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that. Thats why I posted a little while ago asking how it worked out for you. I have 15 years of exhaust fab'ing experience and when I heard how CP -Performance was going to build you an exhaust (on his back using his own car for a template) I had a feeling this might happen to you. Even for a thousand bucks I wouldn't do it, let alone the $600??? some odd bucks you got it for. Use these emails for back-up towards showing paypal your case. Good luck.

that does suck

my problem with that system is that it would not clear a spohn torque arm setup. right now my idea is to run 3" oval tubing, having the driver side cross over right behind the crossmember (i dont have the ds loop version, im going to have to make one that hangs down from the floor or something for better clearence of the exhaust. ill have them change to round 3", and then merge into an x, and then the rest of the system will pretty much match the ebay one, using some spintech mufflers. im too lazy to switch street to race setup. and yes i need 3". i would probably benefit from 1 7/8 headers too, but i already have some hookers, so ill keep them

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt in that he may be on vacation, but I'm watching his ebay account and it seems active. I'm leaving 1 week between emails, and on the third week of no reply or attempt to resolve the situation I'll file small claims suit in Missouri and try and get my money back that way. We'll see what happens.

Does Anyone know if anyone has done a TRUE dual for a third gen with a 468BBC It'll need to be at Least 3" I would like to fit it with just a set of cutouts for racing but I'm not sure it would flow quick enough currently I,m running long tube hooker headers 3" collectors to 2 x 3" Bullets 10.25 @ 137 mph.

strip = open headers

id pay $800 for that dual 3" setup.

for some members (like overseas especially) who dont have the time, skill, or connections to build one theirself/get one fabbed up its worth every penny.

no one close to me can mandrel bend 3" and let alone 4" pipes (most of my diesel shops use pre bent sections and weld from there). im having a hard enough time getting a 4" CAI bent/made

I finally remenber why I quit hanging out on the boards a few years ago.
I used to be an active member of several F-body boards.
Instead of being happy about fellow F-body owners hanging out, bench racing and helping others, alot of you have to always complain about something.
I went through this years ago when nobody believed my '86 would run 11s with an N/A 350. They claimed my Hotcam would not rev to 7000 RPM. And after track day they said I had to be spraying......
Now instead of being happy that there are people making cool parts for their cars, they have to complain about it.
I priced my systems accordingly, If I was lower I would have too many orders to be able to complete. It is priced so I can keep up. It is not my job making these systems, just something I enjoy.

How many of you have bought something overpriced???
Did you really need that $25 AN fitting or would a hardware store hose nipple and a clamp have worked for $1??
I go for the AN fittings for the coolness and reliability.
I also opt for the $400 fuel pump when I could have used a $50 race pump.
There are so many cool parts out there so just enjoy living in a country where we can enjoy modding our cars.

The rest of you that are going to complain about it, go ahead since I will not be on this board anymore.
I have better things to do and more cars to make go faster.

For those of you who want to hear the overpriced dual system in action click this link;

Camaro Video
Derek, what's up man? Remember me from the STL clubs?? Good to see you on here.... how's the car doing? I still remember you clicking off 11's in full street trim, 350, NA, etc, etc and all the 4th gen guys in amazement and saying you were spraying. Some people just don't get it

to you though!

*Guys I can and will vouch for this guy's craftsmanship... if you don't believe him then why waste your time trying to give him a bad name, blah, blah, blah. I'd pat $600-800 for a mandrel bent 3" setup like that any day... not sure why you are all knocking his work so badly.....

Actually we're not trying to give him a bad name. I actually gave him credit for "doing all this work on his back". As far as the bad name, it looks like he's taking care of that himself! Dzhezkov, did you get your money back yet?

As far as his work, you should go back to the "origional" posting on this and read it. Derek posted a few times, but now it looks like he's bailed on the deal all together. If he doesn't want to produce the exhaust for the guy then just give him back his money. This is how you get yourself a "reputation" on these boards.

Not yet, I did get a reply back in email, and he gave some acceptable reasons for the delay and told me that the exhaust system was almost done, but offered me a refund. I took the refund, but I'm still waiting. I'll send him a reminder email and see what happens.

His reasons are a personal note and I understand them, but business is business and my money is my money and all I want is to have it back, as long as that happens I'll be fine with everything.

Did you pay through paypal? I've had a couple of sellers "forget" to ship something and in all three cases after a couple of day "investigation" paypal refunded my money. If you email back and forth with a seller, keep every email as a record to show paypal. It seems to work for me.

I got the same line from a guy in Florida. I won a posi diff at a great price and I think he was pissed that I got it so cheap. I was the only bid on it (7 Days) until the last minute and then it jumped 150 bucks. I bid up to the max I wanted to pay and then quit. Amazingly the next day he emails me and says his buyer bailed (I think he bid on his own auction to drive up the price!) and he had to offer it to me at my max bid. Even this price was $300.00 less than it was worth so I says ok. 3 weeks later no diff so I email paypal and tell them I think this is bull**** and I think he intentionally bid on the piece to get the price up, and when that didn't work, he just decided not to send it. So paypal emailed him and he says " I went on vacation and an employee forgot to send it, but since I think he's dishonest he's refunding my money". So, in the end, I win an auction for way less than the part is worth, but I get f---ed because these guys just won't send the part. When you complain, they give you your money back, and relist the part to try and get more money for it!
