!982 catalytic converter
My catalytic converter on my 82 305 is soaked in tranny fluid.I cant pass smog with it.Has no air tube btw
My question is : Are the cats that came in 82 with air tubes the same as the ones without air tubes .Because my buddy has a good one but it has an airtube,I was wondering if I could weld that ait tube hole shut and install it in my 82 with no problems
thanks

Most standard replacement cats have the air tubes, just capped off. If your car didn't need the air back there, just cap it off and you should be good to go.
