Stock headers w/o vent tubes
Hello
I'm a french owner of a 92 RS camaro with the 305 TBI.
I'd like to remove the air pump and to do a good job I want to replace my stock headers with a pair without the ventilation tubes on.
I haven't got much money for the moment to put some better headers and a good exhaust line.
I just want to put direct bolt on stock headers without vent tubes.
But I dont know what to buy? Who can help me?
One detail, I want to order from summitracing.

Re: Stock headers w/o vent tubes
You dont need to buy new manifolds. The air lines come unbolted from the manifold all you need to do is unbolt them and remove the lines. For the holes they leave in the manifold you can screw in some 1/4 pipe plugs and it will seal the holes left in the manifold just fine and you can barely notice the plugs. Be sure you soak the nuts on the lines that connect them to the manifold with plenty of penetrating oil before you try to unbolt them. However your best bet would be to just order a set of shorty headers and a new y pipe, they will give you an increase in performance over factory manifolds.

Re: Stock headers w/o vent tubes
I just to buy a set of new headers without the vent lines.
I don't need them cause I'm going to remove my air pump.
Can you give me some links or brands where I can find headers without vent lines...
Yes I would buy a pair of shorty headers. Have you got some details on what to buy and the diameter...
I dont' want headers with lots of work to do. I don't want to take the engine away to install the headers... I would buy direct bolt on headers.
