are true duals possible?
I was looking into true duals for my 89 formula 350 and was told it isn't even worth bothering with. I have stock dual cats so I figured it would be relatively easy but apparently not. is this true of one guys false opinion? also I was looking into electronic dumps and was wondering on a y pipe vs. duals and with the eds how much power loss/gain am I looking at. thanks yall

true duals are definetly possible.
do you have headers? if not, i'd do them at the same time.
running dual exhaust is heavier, costs more, and is more fabrication.
if you want to add a cut-out, think how much more duals will cost,...2 mufflers, 2 cut-outs, 2 y-pipes for the cut-outs, more pipe, hangers, etc.
i have dual 2 1/2" exhaust on my car, but i wish i would have done some homework here before i made it.
i think single 3 1/2" pipe flows about the same cfm as dual 2 1/2"?
IMO, duals dont sound any better or different.
HP gain? idk, but you should feel it a little bit if done right. i saw a response to a similar question to yours in another thread and the guy said something like, it's not just the performance of adding headers, it's a mod that will further enhance other mods down the road.

Re: are true duals possible?
do you have to pass any emissions tests where you live with the car?
if you can weld and fabricate, that will save money on the exhaust. a good exhaust will compliment other mods, like you listed, and help get the most out of them.
