1LE Aluminum Spare

Hello. Up for sale is a Aluminum Spare Rim/Tire from the 1LE package. As most know it is a 14" lightweight aluminum 2pc rim with a deflated space-saver Goodyear tire. It also comes with the plastic tirewell bottom rest. Overall it is in good shape. There are some scuffs and I really cant tell weather or not its ever been run on. I bought it from a guy who parts out Pontiac Firebirds and Trans Ams. I intended on using it in my '86 Trans Am. No real reason why, just an impulse. But moneys tight, projects are different now and I just have it taking up space. I can provide a pic soon. I prefer PayPal but PM me if there is any other need. We maybe could work something out. I will be E-baying it soon as well. I have a 100% feedback buy and sell status on e-bay and am an honest induvidual. I expect the same in a buyer please. Buyer pays shipping. Offers welcome. Asking $60.00 + shp http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...-1LEspare1.jpg http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...-1LEspare2.jpg http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t...-1LEspare3.jpg

Re: 1LE Aluminum Spare

I will be going by my storage to get pics this week. It is the 10 spoke wheel that has a natural polished looking rim and a grayish looking center. Ill get pic ASAP. THX, Michel

Re: 1LE Aluminum Spare

OK....I added the pics and edited them into the 1st post. Inspecting it futer this is what I noticed. The tire is the Orig Goodyear Mini-Spare P195-75-D14, it has the Orig. Quick Fill valve stem nipple (seen in pic), the tire still has all the nipples on the tread and no wear. There are a few scuffs from the jack it looks like, and one edge gouge. I took a closeup of that, so there would be no question. But, it looks like it was resting against either the jack or the brace in the tirewell. It is just as I recieved it. I kept it boxed in storage on top. Shown also is the bottom well spacer which is included. Recently oneof theses went on e-bay for $125 + Shipping. Condition was fair and it also had the fill bottle. Which I do not have. I figure $60 + shipping is fair, but will entertain a decent offer. I appreciate the interest and I will be e-baying it in a week or two. I just wanted to give the F-body community 1st shot. THX, Michel

Re: 1LE Aluminum Spare

wow thats exactly the spare I already have, but I was under the impression that is not the 1LE spare.. but I could be mistaken.

...as a bonus, mine is complete with the bottle and spacer. I find it very hard to believe the spacer itself went for $125 on ebay. heck I've got two of them and I could certinally use an extra $250 for some small chunks of plastic!

Re: 1LE Aluminum Spare

thats because this isn't the 1LE spare, the aluminum 10 spoke which was 14in was optional on the cars pre 89, before the 1LE package including the bigger brakes was introduced, this is a common mistake, the 1LE spare is actually a painted black aluminum 15in wheel, looks just like a steel spare, but when tested is not magnetic. It was needed to fit over the rear 1LE brakes. However, this is not to say that the 10 spokes are not cool looking, I think they are nicer looking and more impressive, GM realy shot themselves in the foot by making an aluminum spare that looks like a steel spare.

Good luck with your sale

Re: 1LE Aluminum Spare

Im sorry. I didnt mean that just the spacer went for that much. It was the rim/tire, spacer and bottle that went for that much. Guess I wasnt clear. And I didnt know about the 1LE spare being black. Thanks for the update G3F Fan =) I thought I knew quite a bit, but its cool to learn something new. So anyway, it is what it is and as pictured. I woldnt say its featherlight, but it has a wider profile for a spare than the regular donut, and its lighter than the steel spare is. I remember a few years back seeing a guy buy 4 of these and putting a yokahama autocross race only tire on them. He used them at local area SCCA events on his Iroc. Kida like the Honda crowd seeks the Civic HF lightweight alloys the same. THX for the info. Ill be sure to pass it along from here on out in the correct way =)
