lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication-photo-1-2.jpgput a new intake on today. it's not drawing cold air yet, but it gets better flow than the stock box was. after the roundup i'll probably cut a hole where the box was and run the intake down towards the front wheel.

lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication-photo-2-2.jpgstarted working on filling in the body lines where the back bumper meets the quarter panel. not perfect yet but it will be soon! after that i plan on doing the front bumper as well.

i dont know why the pictures are sideways, they were straight when i uploaded them

Not a good idea on the filling in the bumper lines. Our cars are made to flex and having two dissimilar materials joined together with filler is probably going to crack ect.
Cool car BTW!!!

Well i'm gonna wait a while on the paint anyway. So if the filler starts to crack then i'll take it all off

Here's a little project I did with a small lathe i bought. Basically just cut the bottom of the strut mount to remove the stock rubber surrounded bearing, turned a cup with a c-clip groove to fit the spherical bearing into, cut a plate to fill the hole, and welded it together. There is an adapter/safty washer under the spherical so I could use a standard .75 wide body spherical bearing and still be a close fit the metric strut top. The washer should be large enough to keep the strut top from hitting the hood if the press fit and c-clip fail.

I haven't measured caster, but I've got about another degree of negative camber of with this and no more crappy rubber bushings to deflect. Probably $50 is materials and way too much time, but it was more of just something to justify the purchase of the tools required...

Pretty sure they're 1995 Mustang Cobra R wheels. Guess he found them in a GM pattern or is using an adapter.

Speaking of that, since it's either them or a really super close style, I want to run a Mustang wheel on my IROC. Mustang FR500 wheels. I run black 18" FR500s on my '01 GT and love them.

That same look, except for a silver wheel, would look really awesome if I ever get around to painting the IROC black. Kind of like a C5 Z06 wheel just a little cleaner IMO. Mustang wheels for the win.

I have the ford FR500 17x10.5" rear rims on my 87 firebird. I love them! BUt i need to find adapters so i can mount them on the front too! Reason is that im running a ford 8.8 out back and its cheaper to get rims/tires with much more traction than new axles and still have SLP 17x8s on the rear. The ford rear was 3" wider than the stock 9 bolt so the FR500 rims had the perfect backspacing.

Re: lets see some pics of your custom mods and/or fabrication

Check out my swap thread and you'll see what I'm doing for my cold air intake. Of course, I removed all the cruise control stuff from under the drivers side battery tray to make room for a cone filter there.

My swap thread is under LTX LT1 swaps or just do a username search. Nice looking tpi bay ya got there

Two nice new white reservoirs would look sweet in there.

Nice work!

It looks like you have the two valve cover breather hoses going
to one breather filter on the drivers side. What fitting did u use to attach the breather fitting to the valve cover holes?

I ask because I may need to do something like this on my valve covers with the coil brackets I'm using since a normal breather may get in the way of the brackets.

Love the idea of trying anyway. Would look real sweet if you got this working on both the front and rear.... Have a feeling that just filler in the gaps will be a dead end though. Might work on a short time basis, but after a few months and some driving I believe it would crack.... How did this work out for you?

fiberglass box with color matched paint,,,the box is cut out 1/2" around the kicker sx amp and when the ignition is on there are led lights that make the gap glow red... once I finish switching the interior to black it should really be nice

I missed this post, sorry. The rims are made by ROH. They are Drift Rs. Triple A wheel and Group R wheels used to imprt them from Austrailia. I had to wait 6 months but it was worth it.

This is something that I was working on a few years back, I modded the stock throttle body on my old '88 Trans Am 305 w/TBI, then later installed the whole entire setup on a 400-SBC, then a buddy's 454-BBC. Worked like a charm on all three engines after dialing it in, and it provided more than enough air for the big block. Cost me next to nothing to do, and I refused paying so much for the Holley piece....

what exactly did you do to that tbi n how did you do it?

Here's some of my work... A bunch of holes filled from removing just about every bracket I could find. Getting ready to put the roof back on.
