Purchased by a family friend, in 1992 with 33,xxx miles, and now just getting ready to crest 51K miles. He is now to the age where he is thinning out his car collection, and this is being offered for sale, at $13,500 OBO.
5.0 TPI, Auto, aluminum drum brake rear, 2.73 gear. Car has always been a Michigan car, but the attatched photos of the underbody show it has never been driven in salt, and it has always been stored indoors since purchased in 92’. The car runs and drives great, with no CEL lamp, no leaks, no vibrations, etc. One of the rear speakers needs to be replaced, however everything else works as it did in 1992, A/C and cruise control included.
For the most part, the car is stock, and mostly original. Car has SLP ceramic coated headers, SLP stainless TOTL exhaust system, underdrive pullys (brand has been forgotten over the years), lower temperature thermostat, and a hypertech PROM. New tires have been installed with the last couple of weeks. The wheels still look brand new.
Interior is clean, and generally in good condition. The cloth center inserts are pulling at the edges. Headliner has very minor separation from the backer, but not nearly to the point to justify replacement. Dash pad is soft/no cracks, seats look and feel new.
Paint looks good and holds a great gloss, however, it’s not without blemishes either. The lower portions of the car have Stone chips, and the plastic good vents/leading edge of the bumper cover have minor fading. The urethane rear spoiler has small splits on each side, where it meets the decklid.
This car needs nothing to be a good looking, reliable, comfortable summertime ride. I feel I am honestly representing the car, and hopefully the price reflects that. It’s far nicer than the daily driver type cars we all see for 5K-8K, but I also realize it’s not a pristine survivor car either.
