Hey Irocstang another question

OK I have the stock exhaust manifolds and stock Y can I still install the piece that goes over the Y pipe or do I have to wait till I get the exhaust I plan on running?

I emailed UMI with same question so either way I know I will get an answer.

this snippet of an email sheds some light on this issue; read carefully i have posted it before:

"January 31st is fine. Once the number of people is meet each one would have to contact me either phone, e-mail or using our shopping cart with payment. What we would do is each member pays for there own set plus there shipping and we ship it to them. What I do on a GP is gather every persons info as they order and hold it, we will not charge anyones card until I have received 10 or 20 orders which ever you choose it to be. We will also not ship until all payments are received, this way we assure it goes through."

"Yes even with a stock exhaust system the third smaller piece still needs installed. The SFC's were actually designed around a stock system so this is when it will fit its best. The reason we have left it seperate is to help clear aftermarket systems that may run slightly different. The picture below really helps show where this piece gets attached.

Excellent we have 15 already!

I got an email back from Ryan about the piece that goes over the Y pipe. He actually recommends that I wait before installing the 3rd piece over the Y pipe just in case the aftermarket system fits differently from the stock Y pipe.

So I will install everything except the little piece over the Y

Does anyone buying these SFC have hooker headers (2055) and Y pipe and which CAT Converter (my stock one is going to be replaced)?

That is the system I will be saving for next after the SFC (coated from ACS?) maybe if someone has this system and is going to install the UMI connectors they can post pictures??

Irocstang what system are you running for headers and Converter??

Thanks to Irocz_newbie we now have 16 people out of 20 in. Only 4 more to go now untill 20. Wow and we still have a month to wait.

To Krisb410---We will not do the order before Jan 31/06. The reasons behind this are
1.) Some people want that time to accumulate their wealth to purchase these.
2.) It is all organized for Jan 31/06 with Ryan from UMI.

If we get more than 20 by the 31 of Jan it is just a bonus. It may be important to note that it may be possible that someone who has committed, in the end will not purchase. If we have more than 20 it would be awsome cause then well have a lee way. If a person drops out we will still have the 20 required to purchase thesefor 159.99 plus shipping and UPS.

(I personally hope noone drops out)

Hopefully you can hold onto that cash till the 31st. If your in let us know. Hope u understand this krisb410.

To Grizzle: I am running some kind of headers (nothin 2 fancy) down to a Y pripe then 3 inches straight down to my off road flowmaster (really loud). No catalyc converter. I will get the good stuff after all my suspension/chassis is done. I am thinking of sellin my other ride after this is done and installing an LT1 crate motor with the T56 tranny (6 speed).

About headers...look at the pictures of the sfcs installed on the other post and read Waynes383 comments. There is a third piece (the small one) inluded to deal with aftermarket exhaust. I do not think the type of headers matters too much.

as long as you have placed your order (transaction pending) by the 31 of Jan. If you do the work of placing your order now ryan will not charge your cards till the 31 of Jan. If you need to wait a while I can understand that.

Bluezee just sent me an email saying he cant committ to this gp. This means we actually have only 17 in Im a little depressed about this and i hope noone else drops out. I really want these sfcs bad but i want a good price. Was asking people when they plan to order to try to assure myself that noone else is gonna drop out. All is ok with the order. You do have till the 31st of Jan.

On a happier note 83z28400sbc has committed on the other post to this GP so we are back at 18 in. Wouldve been cool if Bluezee didnt drop out of this GP cause we would have 19 now if he didnt and we would only need one more to make it to 20. But thats life. I hope everyone else is as committed to this GP as me and we will be able to hit the 20 mark by the 31st of Jan. We only need two more now. We are so close i can feel it.

well basically if there is someone here that can weld them infor me for next to nothing then yes but if not then no i'll have to wait I'm not one to buy something like this then not be able to put it on i'll end up moving onto another project and never get the original thing put on haha so it would be a waste of money just after i front 180 bucks out i wont have much left to have them put in as I'm still making payments on the car i was looking into headers for the first addon but i ran across these and time is running out

Will the T56 trans and spohn relocation bracket be in the way of these? if so i'm really out because I'm not parting with the t56 haha

If you are going to buy any sfcs and have them welded in prepare to pay unless you have the equipment and knowledge to do it yourself. If you are really lucky you may find someone lives close to you on third gen who may be able to do it for cheaper. Try posting a topic in the regional boards asking if anyone lives near you and can weld in SFCs for a better price.

About your questions about the T56 and relocation brackets...I have emailed Ryan at UMI about this issue and will post his reply when I get it.

"No there will no clearance issues with either the T56 Transmission or any type of relocation bracket.
