Found my build sheet!

Ok, it doesn't take much to excite me, but in redoing my interior, I found the build sheet for my car! It was kind of exciting to suddenly find the sheet the went down the assembly line with this machine and see some of the RPO codes decoded on it.

The weird thing is that I found it while ripping out the old original carpet! It was tacked to the floor with a piece of masking tape on the driver's side under the driver's seat with the carpet laid over the top of it.

Is this a "normal" place to find these things? Sounds a bit weird to me, but I'm happy to have it. Just another little piece of car history to go into my car's folder.

Yep, as far as I know that's where a lot of them were placed.

That is great news. I found my buildsheet in the bottom of my trunk under the carpet. Unfortunetly due to leaky weather stripping around the hatch it was totally destroyed And yes I replaced the weather stripping.

I found mine under the carpet by the rear seats. It too was destroyed by water. But I do have the sheet of options under the console lid. The lid had been replaced but the old owner taped it back onto the lid. Isn't another common place for the sheet to be in the seat upholstry?

Mine was in the trunk under the carpet. I've also seen them on the bottom of the passenger or driver seat, and under the carpet under the front seats.

I think I was a little overexcited when I found mine too.

I found mine under where the passenger would put his feet on the right side, above the cat-bump.
