hey all hows it going? , well I have'nt posted since I first joined the board when my neighbor gifted me with his 82 Z28 converted into a 89 convertible clone.
I finally sent the car to the body shop to repair the rust around the wind shield and fitting the front bumper that I bought from a local salvage yard close to were I live that sells camaro and mustang parts. (100.00) a steal for an IROC front bumper fully assembled. the next step is to have the top replaced which will be quite pricey to have it done right. after that I am debating whether to have the 305 rebuilt or buying a LT1 with all the hardware including computer from the same salvage shop (onetrickpony.com ) $ 1500.00, that seems like a fair price for a used LT1. then maybe my mechanic will charge 1000.00 for the swap. It may seem a bit pricey over all but considering I got the car free:lala:
