just a quick message...

wow. you guys really make me appreciate my camaro more than i ever have

i'm sixteen and i just bought my 89 RS about two months ago... i feel bad for being a little bad on it, cuz it's a five speed and when i bought it, i had NO idea how to drive it. for about two weeks i stalled out, grinded gears, jerked forward, etc. my poor car. but it was very patient with me. now i drive it with no problem. i love it.

i had an 87 z before this 89... the 87 was an auto and i loved it too. i fixed it all up and sold it, planned on buying a honda for the better gas mileage but instead i fell in love with my new RS.

seeing all these stock camaros on here, especially chet's red one, makes me want to take so much care of my car. i want to put original rims on it, get a stock hood and make everything like it was, haha. i'm gonna fix up my baby.

i need to do something with the hood anyway. someone didn't put the hood scoop on too good and now it's ripping away at the corner and in the front ;(

it needs a new paintjob and some interior work. some dafsjklf lady rear ended me at a red light because she thought "it turned green" ... i was sitting at a dead stop and she was driving a civic and it pushed me forward into traffic (luckily i was first in line)... it took some paint off my bumper but thank g0d it didn't dent.

please don't kill me for the size of these pics...
i didn't scrape up the front ground effect like that, it was already like that

Nice car, why loose the hood and rims though?
Personally I think that the small cowl hoods look good, but i'm definatly not a fan of the bigger ones. I never liked the stock rims for that car either, the 91-92 Z28's are my personal favorites. I say leave it as is, but its your car, enjoy it

Yes they are fun cars indeed, 5 speeds possibly moreso. Seeing other people that care for these cars does help you appreciate them. As far as going back to the stock look, I'd just do what you like. I like stock but some people like to modify. I admit the stock RS hood is kind of boring (I have one)
Finding the correct 15X7 inch wheels should be easy if you choose to do so.
Enjoy it
