1992 "Silver Anniversary" Firebird?
I found this in the local 4-sale paper. I know of the Camaro 25th Anniversary Edition in 1992, but a Firebird? Never heard of this. Has the 20-slot concave rims, aero package, looks like a typical 'bird to me.

no commemoritive package was ever offered on a Firebird for an anniversary. However the Trans Am is a different story. But, since the Trans Am was released in 69 instead of 67 (when the Camaro/Firebird was released) the Trans Am's anniversary comes up 2 years after the Camaro's. For example, the 82 Camaro was the 15th anniversary, the Trans Am didn't celebrate 15 years till 84, hence the 1984 15th anniversary Trans Am. Likewise, the 20th anniversary T/A is the TTA, 25th was the 94 T/A which was commemorated with a special package, then 30th was the 99 T/A, again with a special anniversary package. There were also some commemorative 2nd gen T/A's, but they aren't really my field so I won't go into them.

Id guess that it was a dealer package put on the car. I have heared of 97 30th anniv. birds offered from dealers (non factory) so i would not be at all suprised to find that dealers did the same thing in 92. Their was no factory anniv. package in 92.

All that was offered in 1992 as far as having anything to do with the Firebirds 25th anniversary was that there were a couple of special "1992 only 25th anniversary colors" that Pontiac offered. My GTA's color is one of them so my GTA is about as close as your gonna get to a 25th anniversary Firebird If I can find my 92 brochure I will name them all for you......
