Need restoration help
There are three heat shields mounted around the rear axle area.
A while back I removed these to clean/prep/re-surface this area.
Like a nim-nod, I forgot to make notes or take some pictures.
And now I can't figure out how to re-install.
If anyone has, or could take a few pics showing how these are mounted,
I would be ever so grateful.
I've heard memory is the second thing to go...
I can't remember what's first.

Perhaps post #13 of the following link will get you started:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/faq-...iscs-89-a.html
IIRC, it also bolts in three places to the upper panhard brace.

Re: Need restoration help
I just happen to have my rear on stands, working on a swap. I only see one heat shield, its over on the passenger side undercarriage. I know there is a large heat shield that goes between the muffler and fuel tank. Here's a pic. If there are any other areas you want a pic of, just ask and I'll walk out and snap it.

Re: Need restoration help
Many thanks guys.
I can identify 2 of the three, so maybe fitting the last one will be obvious.
Yeah right...
As I look around at the parts pile, the mounting bracket for
the hard brake-line, to the flex line seems to be hiding. So two-if,
if its still convenient, a snap of the driver side area showing the
brake-line mounting would be wonderful.
JamesC, you're posts are always enlightening. I may have to go check
out the p-brake cables at AutoZone. If you're ever south-bound to
the DFW area, I'll spring for some suds & b-b-q, or whatever else
would tickle your palette.

Re: Need restoration help
Mea Culpa, I wasn't clear enough.
Those pics are of the brackets on the axle, which I had the good
sense to snap pics of before disassembly.
What I need, is the bracket that mounts up on the chassi, and
connects the main hard-line from the front, to the diff flex line,
that then tee's out to the wheels.
